What kind of footprints do we leave behind?
I started writing this post 3 weeks ago, but I have not published it ... and during this days it seems oh-so-even-more relavant ... This photo is a throwback to a sunny day in Lefkada, Greece where we were soaking the sun, enjoying the sea and collecting some plastic and other waste. This waste was later incorporated into my Moseanic collection. The concept itself is improving and a few weeks ago, when life was still just "normal", ☺ it was presented in Valencia, Spain at Worth Partneship Project where we were selected finalist among 200 great projects. So, good news, the Worth Project will support the development of the Moseanic! 😀💪 At this moment sustainability and design does not seem as a top priority topic. But I think at the same time, we just got a lesson of how very connected we are as humans and how much we have lost our connection with the nature, with ourselfs and with the values that really matter. So I hope after all this health situation, we will get a second chance to co-create a world in which circular economy, support of local production, sustainable design and mutual respect will be sth we will all strive for.

Moseanic on my mind ...
I am not very active on social media lately. There are so many things going on in the 'backstage' that I gave up on regularly posting updates 🙆 But from time to time a fairy godmother comes and gives me some kick in the ass✨. This time it was @strikula that AGAIN made the most b e a u t i f u l photos for the traditional auction for kittens from @mestni_macjak. Masa, thank you! And yes, I am still alive, still KICKING! 😀

PS: The ring on the photo was made for the auction (it is a moseanic one, with ocean plastic and porcelain), but slowly I will also make some extra and post them to my Etsy. If you want one, stay tuned or DM me and I will let you know when I have them ready. ☺ ✨

We are on a roadtrip from Greece to Slovenia, and as much as I love Crete, it is nice to see some new landscapes and fresh g r e e n colour - grass, trees ... In general Peloponnese is really beautiful and full of surprises. I will post more photos of the trip to my stories. 😉

Good morning, world!
I am not 'a morning person', but I do feel proud when I manage to get myself from bed early enough (what is early enough anyway? 🤔). 🔸I think being a freelancer sometimes requires a lot of 'will power' as you do not have sbd telling you what and when to do it. It all depends on you. That is why I devoted this summer also to find strategies that work for me.
So, no. 1 for me for sure is:
✨Do not work from home. ✨
As cozy as it is, I end up waking up late, doing all the housework first, starting with professional work around noon. So, it does not work for me. I need to wake up, make some tea, prepare breakfast and go to my studio! ☺ What about you? Any nice tip for a productive morning? I would be happy to hear about your strategies, fellow frelancers and 'not morning peoples' ☺☺ But weekends are meant to be easygoing, enjoying a coffee or two, eating handmade strudl, just being at home and living slow, right? And this photo is from one of those golden autumn days. ❤ have a nice one! 👋

I have to say I was kind of happy to see them and to feel the rain on my skin. To rush collecting the cloths not to get wet ...
I guess it is true what they say ... only the contrast makes you appreciate what you have. And for sure I will also appreciate the following sunny days more now. ☺

Studio inspired lamp✨

Oh, how important the environment in which we work is! During my stay in Chania I have a privilege to work at a studio in an art village and share it with two lovely painters and a ceramic artist (which I have not met yet ☺).
The studio is airy, warm, surrounded with vegetation and ... mosquitos 😀 I will not miss those when I get back home.
But I will miss the light and warmth. This is a note to myself to organise a better heating system at my studio and better lighting. Hmmm, I know. 🙆
But it really is important how we feel at our workplace/home. And light for sure is one of the most important aspects, even if it is not sooo obvious as the temperature for example. So, surround yourself with enough kind light, it will make you feel better, for sure!
Oh, and if you wonder about this one at the photo - it is one and only, handbuild of airdry porcelain with sand from a lovely cretan beach. It is for sale - send me a message if you want to offer her a new home. ☺
